A FANTASTIC AUTUMN WEDDING AT THE ROSLIN BEACH HOTEL WHICH WAS SO MUCH FUN WITH AMAZING ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
Samantha and Kieran got married in autumn at the beautiful Roslin Beach Hotel, which is a stunning venue in Thorpe Bay Essex. They had their ceremony at Holy Trinity, which is their local church. It was such a fun wedding and even the rain didn’t dampen the day!
Bridal prep
Samantha got ready at the Roslin Beach Hotel the bridesmaids, and the atmosphere was so relaxed. All the girls were really happy and excited. The bride then took a cab to get to the ceremony. Kieran got ready at their home with Ben (Samantha’s brother) and Nick the best man. The group travelled to the ceremony on foot. They live about a 30-second walk from the Church so they managed to fit in a fry up too!
The ceremony
The ceremony was a beautiful service at their local church in Southchurch Essex. Holy Trinity church as an old traditional church set close to Thorpe Bay in Essex. During the ceremony, they had a beautiful reading. It was so personal and so beautiful. As the bride and groom made their way out of the church they looked so happy and I loved how Samantha reacted at the back of the church with excitement.
The afternoon
The reception was in the tides ballroom at Roslin Beach Hotel. They chose the venue because Kieran is a chef at The Roslin so it’s his second home! and The Roslin is where Samantha’s grandparents would take them all for Sunday lunch once they moved back to Southend so it’s a very sentimental place for her, holding unforgettable memories. It was a traditional wedding, which was great fun. I love capturing Roslin Beach Hotel weddings because the light is so gorgeous. The venue and staff were great, the food is amazing and I love the venue location on the beach for some great video and photos.
They had a fantastic pianist in the afternoon and a DJ for loads of dancing in the evening. Just before the wedding breakfast, the pianist was playing some queen songs and everyone was singing along, it was an incredible atmosphere. They decorated the venue with lots of personal and very beautifully crafted extras and candles because the bride had so many wonderful ideas and it looked incredible. The attention to detail was amazing, it was mainly neutral colours and was just perfect!
For dinner, they served a fabulous top quality choice menu, which was loved by all the guests. When I saw the food being served, it looked absolutely delicious and the presentation was excellent. The first dance was a romantic slow dance, and they finished off the evening with plenty of dancing! This was a fantastic opportunity to get some amazing video footage and photos of the evening entertainment.
The most memorable part of the day was on the beach, Samantha was game and even took off her shoes to walk on the sand, we got some lovely video on the beach. All the guests were so much fun and were enjoying themselves. They also did a song during the wedding breakfast – it was brilliant fun! The pianist played a few queen tracks and everyone was singing along and having a great time!
The couple
Samantha wore a beautiful traditional wedding dress and Kieran wore a lovely suit and they looked so perfect. Samantha’s wedding dress and shoes were both sourced locally in Southend on Sea, it was the first dress she tried and last after falling in love with it and Kieran’s suit was supplied by Moss Brothers. which looked fantastic.
The couple met on a date set up by Samantha’s mum at The Angel which is also where Kieran’s best man Nick works and have been together for four years. They got in touch with me in early June and their enquiry really intrigued me. They said they just wanted to party, and I thought it was awesome that they were so fun.
The couple says that if you’re planning your wedding, the biggest piece of advice they could give you is to take a moment and create a narrative! I can remember so much of my day as I made sure that I took a step back and realised what was going on around me at so many different points. My Cousin Lindsay gave me this advice, and I’m SO glad I took it! Make sure you get a videographer – I spoke to Nick quite late on in my planning but I am super glad that I made the decision to go ahead. Memories to cherish forever!
Samantha and Kieran’s wedding was such a laugh and so laid back. I had a blast being their wedding videographer for the Roslin Beach hotel. Here’s their wonderful wedding!
